Personnel Transition Assistance Center (PTAC)

Soldiers separating from the military should attend the Transition Brief 90 calendar days prior to separation. For dates and times, contact Transitions Office.

Soldiers completing PCS moves should attend the Levy Brief 75 to 90 days prior to departure. For dates and times, contact the Central Processing Facility (CPF) office.

When SM receives orders:

• Arrange for POV, HHG and UBG shipment through Transportation
• Schedule appointments with Housing if residing in family member quarters, BEQ or BOQ
• Go to SATO to book flight Retiring and Separating Soldiers must contact Separations Finance. 
• Twenty-one days prior to flight, register to pre-clear community agencies at Central Processing Facility (CPF).
• Soldiers will not be issued clearing papers until 12 days prior to fly date.
• Pre-clearance will allow Soldiers to clear some community agencies without having to go to the agency. CIF appointment and clearing paper pick-up date will be made or determined at that time.

Twelve working Days from Soldier's flight date, return to Central Processing Facility (CPF) to pick-up clearing papers.
